Application Requirements

To be considered for transfer admission, you must submit the following items:

  • The application and $35 non-refundable fee to the Office of Admissions.
  • Official transcripts from all colleges/universities you attended - sent directly by the your previous institution(s).
  • If you have completed less than 12 college credits, an official high school transcript will be required.

  • We do not accept transfer applications for the following majors:

  • Nursing (Unless you have an RN License)
  • We are not accepting out of state nursing degrees or licenses at this time.
  • Medical Imaging (Unless you have a Rad. Tech. License)
  • Admission for the ASL/Interpreting program is wait list only

    IMPORTANT: We are still accepting deposits for the Fall of 2018, but space is limited, so be sure to save your spot soon!

    Transfer applicants are reviewed on a rolling basis until the major or semester reaches capacity and is closed.

    You are encouraged to apply early if you're considering a competitive major, as these programs fill up quickly and space is limited. Competitive majors include:

  • Speech Pathology
  • Biology
  • Health Science majors
  • Admission Criteria

    If you earned more than 12 college credits, you will be will be evaluated for admission based on your college transcripts. If you have not completed 12 college credits will be evaluated on both your high school and college transcripts and must meet the minimum admissions guidelines for freshman.

  • A college GPA of a 2.5 (or higher) is preferred for most majors.
  • A college GPA of a 3.0 is required for all applicants to programs in the College of Education

  • Register for a Transfer Day! Transfer Days are visitation opportunities designed specifically for prospective transfer students and are offered throughout the course of each semester.     Terry and JoAnn Zeigler Transfer Scholarship

    Recipients may receive up to $2,000 per semester, up to five semesters while attending Bloomsburg University.

    Scholarship Requirements:

    • attend a PA community college
    • be a PA resident
    • complete at least 45 credits
    • have financial need as demonstrated by FAFSA
    • pursue a business major
    • have a 3.0 or higher GPA
    • complete required essay
